Zero Tolerance for Spam

MSG25 maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for spam. Violations result in immediate account termination without refund.

1. Definition of Spam

Spam includes, but is not limited to:

  • Unsolicited bulk email (UBE) sent without recipient consent
  • Unsolicited commercial email (UCE) sent without prior relationship
  • Email sent to purchased, rented, harvested, or scraped lists
  • Email with deceptive subject lines or sender information
  • Email without valid physical mailing address
  • Email without functional unsubscribe mechanism

2. Consent Requirements

All email recipients must have given consent through:

  • Explicit opt-in: Subscriber actively chose to receive emails
  • Double opt-in: Confirmed subscription via confirmation email (recommended)
  • Transactional relationship: Emails related to a purchase or account

Pre-checked boxes, assumed consent, and purchased lists do NOT constitute valid consent.

3. Prohibited Content

  • Phishing attempts or credential harvesting
  • Malware, ransomware, or malicious attachments
  • Fraud, scams, or deceptive schemes
  • Illegal products or services
  • Adult content without proper age verification
  • Gambling without proper licensing
  • Cryptocurrency pump-and-dump schemes
  • Get-rich-quick or pyramid schemes
  • Counterfeit goods or services

4. List Hygiene Requirements

  • Remove hard bounces immediately
  • Process unsubscribe requests within 24 hours
  • Remove inactive subscribers after 12 months
  • Never email addresses that have complained
  • Regularly clean lists against suppression lists

5. Monitoring & Enforcement

We actively monitor for:

  • High bounce rates (threshold: 5%)
  • Spam complaints (threshold: 0.1%)
  • Spam trap hits
  • Blacklist appearances
  • Unusual sending patterns

6. Consequences of Violations

  • First minor violation: Warning and mandatory training
  • Repeated violations: Account suspension pending review
  • Severe violations: Immediate termination, no refund, possible legal action

7. Reporting Spam

If you receive spam from a MSG25 customer, please report it to: abuse@msg25.com

Include the full email headers and we will investigate promptly.
